Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions we get asked most — shipping, returns, warranty, sizing, warmth and care. Still stuck? Email support@royalcanadiancollective.com.

Shipping & Delivery

Does Royal Canadian ship to the United States?

Yes. We ship across Canada and to the United States. Canadian orders go out with Canada Post and Purolator; U.S. orders ship with USPS. We do not currently ship outside Canada and the U.S.

Is shipping free?

Shipping is free on orders over $55. Because every Royal Canadian boot is priced above that, free shipping applies to all boot and slipper orders.

How long does delivery take?

Most deliveries arrive within 2 to 7 business days. We work to get orders out the door quickly, and you will receive tracking by email once your order ships.

Returns, Exchanges & Warranty

What is the return policy?

Returns are accepted within 30 days of purchase. Items must be unworn and in original, saleable condition — clean, with no visible wear, including the insoles. Original packaging must come back in the same condition (shoebox, labels and hangtags), with the shoebox inside a shipping bag or outer box rather than having a shipping label attached directly to it. Include a copy of the packing slip with the reason noted in the Reason Code section. All returns are inspected, and a 10% restocking fee may apply to returns that do not meet these requirements.

Do you offer free returns and exchanges?

Free return shipping is available through the optional Hassle-Free Exchanges & Returns + Package Protection plan, added at checkout for CA $7 or US $6. It includes a free return shipping label, an easy online return portal, and coverage if your package is lost, stolen or damaged. If you opt out, return and exchange labels are not provided and you cover return shipping costs.

Do Royal Canadian boots come with a warranty?

Yes. All Royal Canadian products carry a one-year limited warranty from the date shown on your proof of purchase. If a manufacturing defect occurs we will repair the item, replace it, or issue a credit — whichever is most appropriate. Only purchases made directly through royalcanadiancollective.com are eligible. Normal wear and tear, misuse, neglect, accidents, modifications and unauthorized repairs are not covered.

Can I return a gift card?

No. Gift cards are final sale. They never expire, are redeemable online, and cannot be combined with discount codes.

Fit & Sizing

Do Royal Canadian boots run true to size?

They follow standard US sizing and are designed to fit true to size for most wearers. If you are between sizes, or plan to wear thicker winter socks, consider sizing up. If you have a narrower foot, stick to your true size.

Do Royal Canadian boots come in wide widths?

Yes. Cambridge and Dalhousie styles are available in Regular (D-Average) and Wide (EE) widths. Regular suits most foot shapes; Wide provides additional room across the forefoot and instep, making it the better option for wider feet.

What boot heights are available?

Three. Classic is a 6" shaft — lightweight and versatile, made for city wear and mild snow. Mid is 10" — a balanced everyday winter boot offering warmth and protection without bulk. Tall is 14" — maximum coverage and protection, built for deep snow and the harshest winter days.

Warmth & Performance

How warm are Royal Canadian winter boots?

Our winter boots are built with 3M Thinsulate insulation and are cold rated to -30°C / -22°F. Most styles also have a genuine shearling collar and a removable merino wool memory foam insole for additional warmth.

Are Royal Canadian boots waterproof?

Yes. Our winter boots use a premium waterproof leather upper together with a 100% waterproof, breathable liner membrane, and a gusseted tongue that seals out snow and slush.

Are they good on ice and packed snow?

Our boots use the iconic Razor Lug rubber outsole, designed for superior grip and traction on snow and ice.

Care & The Brand

How should I care for my boots?

See our Cleaning and Care guide for style-specific guidance. We also offer a Premium Leather Protector Spray that helps leather and nubuck repel water and salt through the winter.

Is Royal Canadian a Canadian company?

Yes. Royal Canadian has been proudly Canadian owned and operated since 2012, and our boots are designed in Canada for Canadian winters.
